Greenway Hikes: Letchworth Section
Trail Otter Hiking Club's Greenway Hike 50 Challenge
Complete the Greenway's Letchworth section and Oakland Locks.
Meeting Location: Oakland Locks parking area, corner of Oakland Road and Rt. 436.
Rating: Mostly flat, one area with small hill to climb. Road walk on Letchworth Trail 8.
Length: 3 miles
Elevation: Minimal elevation change.
Direction: Greenway/Trail 8 from Rt. 436 to Oakland Locks
Cost: $5/person or Discount Card
Maximum participants: 20 (park restriction)
Minimum age: 13+
Dogs allowed: No
Bailouts: We will place a car at Short Tract Road.
Arrive 15 minutes before hike begins to sign waiver form and prompt start.
Recommended: Permethrin tick spray for boots/clothing, hiking poles, daypack with lots of water, snacks and electrolytes. Small first aid kit with moleskin and painkiller of choice. EpiPen if needed. Hat, sunglasses, and as the song goes: don't forget the sunscreen.
All Trail Otter hikes are rain or shine. If event is canceled due to weather, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a refund.
